My trip to Pittsburgh (abridged).

I figured the best way to describe the trip was to post pictures, because really, who doesn't love a picture post? So here's our weekend, more or less. You'll have to fill in the blanks yourself.
So Friday was spent packing and driving to Frederick and then Pittsburgh. I would just like to say that I got us there in just under 3.5 hours, and Greg did not think that could be done. And I even drove the turnpike in the snow! So nyeh.
On Saturday we did a lot of tourist-y things. We ate breakfast at Pamela's (YUM) and walked around the UPitt campus. I had done most of that before, so I didn't start taking pictures until we got to the incline.

It was cool. We rode up in this little trolly thing and there was a place to look at all the city and take lots of pictures. So I did.

This is Point State Park, it's where we went to the fireworks last summer.

This is a pretty bridge that we drove over to get to the incline. Pittsburgh is made up of nothing but hills and bridges.
We walked around a little at the top of the incline, but it was cold and I think we were hungry or something, so we decided to head back down.

Greg's car is down there somewhere.

There was a bit of a skirmish, but I think Greg and Racheal were able to work it out. :)

Then we went over to Station Square, where all the college age kids in Pittsburgh were celebrating an early St. Patrick's Day. I didn't take any pictures, but I should have, the mob was pretty huge already, and it was still early.
Oh, but hey. Racheal's a dork.

This is cool. It's called the Cathedral of Learning, it's part of the UPitt campus. At the top you can see all of Pittsburgh, including all of the Carnegie Mellon campus.

And dude. This is the coolest store ever.

After all that, we went back to Greg's apartment to get ready to go to the Symphony. The PSO was amazing, they played Mahler's Symphony No. 7. I'm gonna demonstrate just what a dork I am, but the last movement literally gave me chills. Amazing is an empty word, but I can't think of any other words to describe it. How I miss live music. Anyway, the theatre was beautiful and reminded me a lot of the Kennedy Center, but smaller. I couldn't take any pictures inside, but I got one of the outside.

At some point on Saturday and again on Sunday, Greg took us to Carnegie to show off his campus to Racheal. We went into the College of Fine Arts building, which is absolutely gorgeous.

Because she's so cute, here's Rac hanging out in front of St. Paul's Cathedral, which we suspect was the church used in Dogma. Take notice of the freakishly small hands.

And here's my boy, cause he's adorable.

You know. I think Greg and Racheal became really good friends during this trip. :)

So there it is. It was fun, and you're jealous cause you weren't there. Mmmhmm. :)
And hey! I got to see Hungarian Dan tonight. I was afraid he was going to go back to Budapest and I was never gonna see him again ever. He came over and we chatted tv stuff and life in Hungary. T'was fun.
