So. I've been kind of not with the wanting to talk about anything lately. But I'm feeling a little better about things today.

My grandmother called this morning and said she'd sent a check for my housing deposit. She was very nice about it this morning, as opposed to the other night when I asked about it. But regardless, I will have the money and a place to live next year, so all is well. As far as that goes anyway.

I still can't get a hold of my mother, though, so I still don't know if my FAFSA stuff was turned in on time. That's a fun thing to be worrying about.

Also? I got a C on my paper for Becky's class, which makes me sad and angry and not want to be in that class anymore. It wasn't a great paper, but it was only partly my fault that I had to write it in a couple of hours the night it was due. I still haven't been able to bring myself to read her comments.

And as I was walking down the steps to my apartment, I caught sight of my car. With a ticket on it. I parked in the faculty spaces two nights ago because there was no where to park that was nearby and/or well-lit. I was not walking all the way across campus where it is dark and scary and some heroin addict might jump out of the shadows and eat me or something. Well. Also, I was tired and too lazy to try and find a space. Cause there are no spaces on this campus. And I forgot to move it yesterday, when I was lucky enough to have not gotten a ticket. So today I got a ticket and I don't have $25 to pay stupid Campus Safety who suck. I'm not gonna pay it, maybe it will just get tacked onto my tuition and my grandmother will have to pay it.

And just to add insult to injury or something, Angel was preempted last night for basketball, of course. My download was going great for a few hours last night, and then I turned it off for a bit so I could do some stuff online. It was at about 60% within four or five hours last night, and after leaving it on all night and all day today, I'm only at 77%. Not freaking fair.

My paid account expires in two days. I won't be able to use the purdy new icons I've uploaded. That saddens me.

Anyway, I'm gonna go snack and spend an hour in front of the television before doing some HARDCORE HOMEWORK, YO. I mean. Yeah. Food now. (and I need some Family Guy icons. Where do I get Family Guy icons?)

And the thing is, there's nothing we can do about it. They know there's a problem and they aren't going to listen to us if we complain about it.

at my school if you don't pay for parking tickets, they don't let you register for classes.

i've gotten a few, but i don't think i've ever paid for one.....i usually just go in and make up some stupid story about someone else using my car and they tear it up.

Here's the trick to avoid paying those tickets, especially if you don't go off campus too often:
Don't register your car, and park on PA Ave. I haven't seen anyone suspicious (other than people I know) in the few blocks either direction from the campus houses, and as long as you park early on street-cleaning days, you can usually find a space pretty close to the apartments. Only park on campus when you have to (I recommend the visitor lot by Campus Safety), and do your best to move your car as soon as you can. I got one ticket last year with that strategy, and just didn't park on campus any more. No losing money, no hassle.
Of course, your car is already registered, so that tactic might be hard to pull off (though they had my liscense plate number from the year before). I'm not sure if they actually do anything to you for not paying them, anyway. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it until someone calls your voicemail or puts something in your mailbox that says you need to pay it...
Of course, I'm lazy and easily annoyed by faux authority, so what I'd do might not be the best move.
