So, I worked a lot. Maybe I shouldn't have had that taste of a weekend all to myself. :p I did get down to see my family on Saturday, so that was good. I visited one of my aunts, who is also my car insurance agent, to renew my insurance, and then stopped to see my dad at work. That was nice, if only because his desk is covered in pictures of his new family all together. He says he doesn't have any recent pictures of me. Fun. Also! I got guilted into visiting my grandparents that I never see, and that was horribly depressing. I feel like I should go down there more, but I never have time, and...it's really depressing.

I hung out with my mother and sisters, though. And played with a new puppy.

Meet Cletus!

He's so little. And adorable. And I want him. One day, I will have a sweet little miniature puppy, too.

I have thoughts, but they're mostly about the characters and my shifting degree of love or hate for them. The plots this season really sucked. Really a lot. I was bored through the first half of the season, but I thought it picked up by the end. The last two episodes made me cry a whole lot, and if it weren't for Nate's stupid crazytown breakdown, I think the finale would be one of my favorite episodes so far.

But, my love for David Fisher continues to grow. I can't get enough of each of his relationships with the rest of his family. I know Nate is supposed to be the show's leading character, but since I'm pretty sure my days of really liking Nate's character are over and only going downhill from here, I wish the show had shifted its focus to David a little more. Ruth was previously one of my least favorite characters, but I kinda love her now. And Claire, well. I like Claire a lot, but she didn't really get a whole lot to do until the end of the season, besides whine about her art.

Also, and I think it's a testament to the crappiness of the other storylines this season, but I was really interested in Brenda and her family. I like the new and improved and fucked-up-in-ways-I-actually-like-watching Brenda, and I wish we hadn't been forced to sit through all her obnoxious drama in S2 to get to this point.

So, that's all I've got, but I don't feel like just skipping ahead to the series finale anymore, so, on to S4, I guess.

No. I did not have Conan O'Brien fall through the ceiling.

Hee. Yay for The Office!

Also. I love this picture. Clearly, for the adorable man in the background. NO, NOT TRACEY MORGAN.

Bradley!

Sooo...no one's going to be in the office with me for a couple of hours, and I'm running out of work to do, so I kinda wanna do the top 5 meme again, and I'm gonna steal Teija's line:

Ask me top fives or I'll silently resent you!

Please? BOREDOM MIGHT KILL ME!

Dude, that sucks about your dads photos. It's funny how people don't mean to hurt those around them, yet it happens all the time anyway.

Yeah, and then I didn't even say anything to him about it, so it's not like I have any right to be mad at him. But still!

As for S3 of SFU, yeah. You didn't really miss much. The show sort of resets again in S4 anyway, so I guess you didn't really need it. :p I'm glad to hear from others that Nate takes a turn back up, though. I can't take much more of S3 Nate. :p

JOOOOOOSH. His wife does look pretty slammin' in that photo. (What? Save the Last Dance was on TV last night. :p) They're so adorable. Also, I spent way too much time on this Top 5. :p

JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!
1. Josh: I'm going to help you, 'cause you know why?

Leo: 'Cause you walk around with so much guilt about everybody you love dying that you're
a compulsive fixer?

Josh: No, Leo, no. It's 'cause a guy is walking down the street and he falls into a hole, see.

2. Donna: Josh? Josh.

He stands and leans over, looking at her in disbelief.

Josh: Hey, you’re awake. Your mom is here. Colin took her downstairs for some... I don’t know, some schnitzel, or something.

Donna: You’re still here.

Josh: Yeah. I’m still here.

3. Danny: I’m sure we all join the President in his joy, but I’m wondering if the President has a plan to fight the resulting inflation.

Josh: The President will do everything in his power to maintain the robust economy that has
created millions of new jobs, improved productivity and kept a lid on inflation.

Katie: But he has no plan to address inflation specifically?

Josh: Twenty-four PhD’s and a Counsel of Economy Advisors, Katie. They have a plan to fight
inflation.

Danny: Is the reason you won’t tell us about it that it’s a secret?

Josh: [sarcastic] Yeah, Danny. We have a secret inflation plan.

5. Josh: All right, it was desperation. It wasn't out of a desire to do evil. He had a young
family and he barely spoke the language. He went to jail. He went to jail and you went
to school, and it was all a half century ago. Look what he did in two generations.
What room did you just walk out of?

Toby: I appreciate that that's what you think. Do I get to think what I think?

Josh: No, you don't, 'cause you don't know what I know.

Toby: What?

Josh: That I would give anything to have a father who was a felon, or a sister with a past.
That's it.

I know what you mean about not having a right to be mad. That's why you have a LJ! So you can vent!

I don't plan on ever watching S3 or 4 of SFU. I skipped to the last season and I feel done with the show. If anything I'd re-watch S1. Plus, from having seen the last season I've been completely spoiled, so there's really no point.

HEEEEEEEEEATHER! I LOVE YOU JOSH MOMENTS. There are so many Josh moments, I bet no two people would answer that the same. Though, I bet your #3 would make most lists ;) OH, JOSH!

Oh, #4. When she touches his ear and he kinda leans in to it and loses his train of thought. AND THIS IS WHY I LIKED AMY.

It's true. I think if I did the list again, I'd come up with a whole new set of five. Not to mention if were doing Josh/Donna moments. There are too many! In fact, I decided I needed to rewatch The Two Bartlets last night because of the Tahiti scene and your comment and I'd forgotten how Josh was wearing CJ's too-big pajamas in the beginning and Amy makes a comment and he gets all defensive about how he knows they're too big and it's adorable. Stuff like that! I don't I could actually nail down a top 5 favorite Josh moments. :p

Though, I'd probably always keep the secret plan to fight inflation. ;)
