I think the difference between Dick and Lamb for me is that Dick's behavior feels very mindless, there's not much malice behind it, it's just what he's learned since birth that he can get away with because he's rich (this also applies to Logan to a great extent), but Lamb's cruelty feels very studied, very precise and targeted specifically at those he knows can't retaliate.
Personally, I wish we could go back a year so they could fix the things they did wrong with the rape storyline (not having Veronica and Duncan talk about it ever, not having Veronica have any sort of problems with it, making Beaver the EEEVILEST because he raped Veronica), but now that we're stuck with this, I kinda feel the need for Veronica to acknowledge something about how it's affected her and probably continues to affect her.
