Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] madmoisellestar!

In other news,

1. I'm way more tired than I have any right to be this morning,

2. the weather is nice enough today that we have the front door wide open, which only makes me want to be outside instead of stuck in here,

3. and I'm still depressed about Doctor Who. You know how when you're right in the thick of an obsession with a show or a 'ship and every song you hear is about that thing? Yeah, I've currently appropriated three or four Decemberists songs just for the Doctor and Rose. So. Yeah. I wish I'd watched this with everyone else now, if only so I'd have someone to be depressed with at the moment. :p

It's Wednesday, which means I have to work tonight, which sucks, but it also means I'll have Project Runway waiting for me when I get home, which doesn't suck. My mantra this week is just-make-it-to-Saturday. I just had a blissful day of sitting around in my pjs doing nothing, but I already feel like I need another break. I think maybe I just need a real change, a break in routine. I hate routine. I think really I should quit Barnes & Noble, I've been there way too long as it is. Although, I don't know if just changing second jobs is really going to help much at all.

Which Decemberists songs were you thinking of?

All of the Crane Wifes, but most specifically Crane Wife 3. This may or may not have something to do with the fact that the first thing I heard yesterday morning when I woke up (after watching the finale the night before) was Crane Wife 3 on the radio. :p

I'm still depressed about Doctor Who. I have refused to rewatch the finale yet.

I thought I was okay, and then I came home from dinner with friends last night and watched that Chasing Cars vid on YouTube again, and I just started bawling all over again, so, yeah. I haven't rewatched the finale, yet, either, but I've watched bits and pieces of everything obsessively. :p

well won't changing second jobs break the routine even if only a little.

but hey, you got a little vacation coming up. it's not much, but it is something.

you got some fun concerts coming up.

and like we talked when we were at AACC, we just to keep doing stuff.

why don't you join Kiwanis or get back in with Special Olympics?

Tap dancing classes at Maryland Hall? Who knows, you might get back into dance.

It'll change the scenery, but it'll be the same routine. I mean, I need to do it anyway, because I need something that either takes up the same amount of time for more money, or less time for the same money, you know?

And yes, I know I have a lot to look forward to, and I really am looking forward to Busch Gardens. And the concernts. And the cooking classes.

I think I should look for something TV related. Find the public access place or something. I need to do extracurriculars that don't cost so much money, too. :)

i think you could definitely find a 2nd job that pays better. unfortunately it doesn't seem as though my work is hiring :( but who knows, there may be spontaneous quitting/firing, then i'll definitely give you a heads up if you are still interested.

there is an Anne Arundel Public TV station over in Glen Burnie I think. We used to have one here in ANnapolis too, but that was back when I was in high school. That is something we should definitely look into.
