it's a meme day!
Dec. 28th, 2005 03:27 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
It's a slow day. I already took a long lunch and it's still only 3:30. So, to amuse myself, memes:
I cheated on this one. You're supposed to take the questions and have your flist ask you fandoms and you supply answers, but I decided I'd rather just talk about my current favorite fandoms, instead. If you want to know answers to these questions with any of my other fandoms, go ahead and ask (because I am just bored enough to answer *g*), but I figure this is more for me to pass the time on this terribly boring, draggingly slow day than anything else. :)
TWW
1. The first character I fell in love with.
Charlie. He breaks my heart just standing there.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
Toby. He took awhile to grow on me, but now I love him to bits. (FREE TOBY!)
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
Really, I don't think there is one.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
Ummm, I can't even think of any character that everyone hates. Annabeth, maybe? I don't hate her, but I'm not sure I love her, either.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
I pretty much still love them all. I choose to believe that the last three seasons are some alternate reality that just happens to feature characters that are familiar to me. Anything they've done recently doesn't really reflect poorly on them or my love for them. ;)
6. The character I would shag anytime.
Sam. Clearly.
7. The character I'd want to be like.
Is there anyone left who isn't aware of my desire to be CJ Cregg?
8. The character I'd slap.
Will. And then for good measure, Kate. And then Will again.
9. A pairing that I love.
Josh/Donna. That's not news. I'm also a fan of Sam/Anyone With A Pulse. ;)
10. A pairing that I despise.
Will/Kate. Every time they put the two of them on-screen all flirty and what not, I dry-heave just a little. Though, maybe they can get together and then just disappear into the sunset somewhere and I'll never have to see them again. That'd be nice.
VM
1. The first character I fell in love with.
Veronica. Duh.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
Ahhhh, Logan. I resisted well into episode 1x10 or so. And then I just couldn't force the love away any longer. I should have recognized that it was a losing battle from the start.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
Kendall maybe? She's kind of annoying. I'm not a fan of Trina's, either. I'm not terribly sure how everyone else feels about them.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
I sort of love Madison. She's evil and bitchy and I love whenever she comes on screen, 'cause it always means Veronica will be at her snarkiest. ;)
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
I currently do not love Veronica. I'm hoping this will change in the next few episodes, but at the moment we're not really getting along.
6. The character I would shag anytime.
Logan. :p
7. The character I'd want to be like.
S1 Veronica.
8. The character I'd slap.
As long as there's only slapping going on, I'll go with Jackie. Ask me again if we're killing off characters. ;)
9. A pairing that I love.
Veronica/Logan. Obviously. I'm also a fan of Veronica/Casey, though. And I'm a long-time member of the Veronica/Anybody But Duncan fan club.
10. A pairing that I despise.
Veronica/Duncan. I guess I didn't care too much in S1, and I tried to give them a chance in the beginning of S2, but it's dragged on long enough, I think. I want Duncan to, like, evaporate or something, I don't know. I also wish Wallace could find a better girlfriend than Jackie. Hell, bring Georgia back, at least her only problem was that she was dumb as a post. That I can deal with. :p
HP
1. The first character I fell in love with.
Harry, I think. My blinding Lupin-love didn't come 'til later.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
Neville. Neville's another one of those characters that breaks my heart just by existing. I'm still bitter that we barely saw him in HBP. Thhhhpp.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
Hermione. She just doesn't do much for me. I like her, she's important for Harry, but overall I'm sort of meh on anything to do with her. I think this is also why I lean towards Harry/Hermione rather than Ron/Hermione, if only because I don't care much about her outside of Harry's orbit.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
I try to stay out of HP fandom as much as I can. I don't even know who they hate. Other than each other.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
Dumbledore. Somewhere around the end of Book 4/Book 5, I stopped caring much about him. He became less Dumbledore-y once the war started up again.
6. The character I would shag anytime.
Um. If Remus weren't so hopelessly gay....
7. The character I'd want to be like.
Ginny. She's kind of perfect. I want to be kind of perfect. :p Hah. (Not really, though. I'd probably most want to be like McGonagall. I do love her.)
8. The character I'd slap.
Draco Malfoy. He bugs me.
9. A pairing that I love.
Remus/Sirius. Oh so tragic and doomed and angsty and I just remembered there's a new shoebox_project I haven't read. *wishes it were 5pm*
10. A pairing that I despise.
Snape/Anyone. I don't really want to think about Snape doing *that*...ever.
Firefly
1. The first character I fell in love with.
O Captain, my Captain. He shot that guy holding River hostage in "Serenity" and there was no turning back.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
Jayne. He worked his way into the top tier of my favorite characters. I'm not sure why, he doesn't do anything worth loving him for, but he's massively entertaining.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
River. Again, I like her, I just don't care that much. I like her in relation to other people more than just on her own. I love her and Simon, and I love her and Mal, and I love her and Kaylee, but alone, she's just sort of crazy.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
People hate Firefly characters? Who? Where? Show me and I'll hit them over the head!
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
Loooove love love.
6. The character I would shag anytime.
Again with the obvious. Mal. Totally.
7. The character I'd want to be like.
Kaylee. She's so completely awesome.
8. The character I'd slap.
I'd probably slap some sense into Simon from time to time.
9. A pairing that I love.
Wash/Zoe. Siiiiiiiigh.
10. A pairing that I despise.
Mal/Kaylee. Their's is strictly a brother/sister relationship. And not in that weird Simon/River way, either.
ETA: Dr. Who, since I watched TCI last night and remembered that I do love this show.
1. The character I first fell in love with.
The Doctor. For awhile, he was the only thing I could stomach on the whole show. The beginning of last season was really slow.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
Rose. She took awhile to grow on me for some reason. She still irritates me when she does that whole I-can't-save-myself-so-the-Doctor-must-do-it-for-me thing. But usually I love her.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
I pretty much only love Nine, Rose, and Captain Jack. So take your pick from any characters who aren't them.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
Okay, so I like Mickey. I don't think many other people do. He is sort of annoying, but he really cares about Rose and that makes him endearing to me.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
Jackie sort of drives me crazy most of the time. I liked her more in the beginning.
6. The character I would shag anytime.
Woah Captain Jack. *drools just a little*
7. The character I'd want to be like.
Nine, probably. Hilarious and bitter and totally resourceful and not always right. What's not to love?
8. The character I'd slap.
Mostly just Jackie. Get her to shut up every now and then.
9. A pairing that I love.
Nine/Rose. I miss Nine. I'm sure I'll warm up to Ten, but right now he's using phrases like "Fantastic!" and it makes me want to cry and hit him all at the same time.
10. A pairing that I despise.
I'm only a fan of Rose/Mickey if it's one-sided, from Mickey's side, of course. I mean, I don't want her to purposefully trample all over his heart, but I'd rather it stay the way it is where he's in love with her and she only wants him for occasional earthly comfort. You know.
