I was tagged, ummmm, days ago for this meme, but I am slow and therefore only just doing it.

1. I'm a freak about going to the movies. I have to sit in the middle of the theater. I seriously don't enjoy the movie as much if I'm sitting too close or too far away or off to the side. I hate being late to a movie, and would almost prefer not to go if I'm going to come in after the lights have dimmed. I also always have to stay until the last credit has rolled. Most of my friends are pretty forgiving about this, luckily.

2. I'm constantly constantly constantly singing or humming to myself. I feel bad for everyone around me, because I can just barely carry a tune. I can't help it, though, there's always some sort of song stuck in my head, and when that happens I just need to sing it.

3. I hate writing in blue ink. I am a black ink kind of girl. Blue just seems...unprofessional or something. It makes me twitch just a little that we only use blue ink pens in my office.

4. Pepperoni pizza is my favorite thing in the world, but most of the time I eat it by picking the pepperonis off one by one and eating those first.

5. I hate chocolate. I do. I don't like the taste of it. I've tried many, many, many times over the course of my life to force myself to like it so I wouldn't always be such a freak at birthday parties or when someone tries to do something nice for me and gives me a candy bar--but I just don't like chocolate. My mom says when I was really little she gave me a piece of white chocolate trying to trick me, and to see if I just didn't like the way chocolate looked, and I spit it right out and made a face about how it tasted like chocolate. All that being said, though, I love peppermint patties. Mmmmmm.

In other news, there is no heat in my office and it's currently snowing outside. I'm wearing a sweater and my coat and a scarf and my fingers and nose are due to fall clean off any minute now. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Supposedly, someone's going to come fix the heat soon, but I don't know why I'm not allowed to do like our tenant in the building next to us and just go home any time the heat isn't working. Yeesh.

Though, if I went home, I'd miss my very first office Christmas party tonight after work. And, truth be told, I am a little excited to see the people who work upstairs let their collective hair down a little. Especially the one I've affectionately dubbed ToolBoy. He could use some relaxation. :p

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

OH, about your hating chocolate thing? My mother, who's a doctor, and who's been studying allergies for as long as I can remember, says that when you don't like the taste of something that has a high allergy potential [you know, chocolate, shrimp, peanuts, etc], that is your body telling you that you *shouldn't* be eating it in the first place, because you might be allergic. So there you go. :)

Really? That's kind of the best thing I've ever heard. It also makes a whole lot of sense. I'll have to remember that the next time someone's trying to disown me for telling them I don't like chocolate. :)

Well, it could be worse -- one of my best friends LOVES chocolate, but he can't eat it or he'll have an anaphylactic shock. That's gotta suck.

And yeah. I've got a lot of heat for not liking shrimp [or most seafood -- considering where I live, that's like, heresy], but since mom told me this theory, I just tell people about it and they shut up. *g*

YES. Blue ink. I forgot about that when doing mine [it happens when you have too many quirky habits], but I'm a black ink girl myself. That shade of blue most "serious" pens use doesn't look good.

My favorite thing about this meme is realizing how many people have the same or similar weird quirks. :p

But totally. I *hate* blue ink, and I've never been able to figure out why. Maybe it is just the shade of it, I just don't like it as much as plain old black. :p

Also, hee. I love that icon. :)

Because, clearly, that is the superior way to eat it. :)

Fellow-Heather, are you my twin?

I too am a total freak when it comes to going to the movie theatre. If we can't get there within enough time to get a good seat in the middle and be able to see the trailers, I'd just as soon not go. In fact, there have been times where I've backed out for this very reason. SO nice to see that I'm not the only one.

Also, I too pick off the pepperoni. Except I save it for last, since I tend to save my favorite things for last (which is a bad idea given that as a result you just eat a whole lot more of what you don't like). I can't tell you how many times I get people saying "oh, can I have your pepperoni?" or "you know, they do have plain cheese."

I think we must be twins. It seems we are constantly finding more and more things in common. ;)

But I hate going late to a movie. Even if the only thing I miss is the commercials, I hate having to root around in the dark for a good seat, and having people looking at you and thinking about what a sucker you are for not getting there early enough to get a good seat. :p I get a little edgy, too, if I'm actually at the theater, and for whatever reason we just aren't going in yet. Sometimes I'll go get a seat and leave everyone else to figure out what they're doing. :p

I'm finding a lot of people pick off their pepperoni, even if they like it. I always thought it was probably a weird thing to do, but I do it anyway. It's kind of funny that so many other people seem to do it. :)

HEATHER! I LOVE YOU! Well, I don't know that I sit exactly in the middle. Probably a little closer than middle, but I'm anal about it too. I like to be in the middle of the row that is four or five seats up. It's not quite the middle cause I like to be able to put my head back against the seat and be facing the middle of the screen. But, it's middle-ish!

I'm constantly constantly constantly singing or humming to myself.

Yes! Me too! It was really bad when I rowed because we'd be out there all alone on the water and the people in my boat would be all what the hell is that?.

Dude, DUDE! I so feel your weather pain! There's a lot of construction at the place I work which has resulted in outside air being pumped through the vents like air conditioning. I've literally been in my winter boots and long-johns all week. So, yeah, totally feel your pain. Even curling up in a duvet for hours afterwards does little to warm the bones.

Have fun with ToolBoy :)

Hee. Yay! I love Steph!

I think I should just start going to movies with my flist, because you guys seem to get the idea of getting to the movie early and getting a good deat and watching the credits and all the other important things about seeing a movie in the theater. Hee.

It was really bad when I rowed because we'd be out there all alone on the water and the people in my boat would be all what the hell is that?.

Okay, that mental image is cracking me up. I can just see you all out on the water and it's completely quiet, and then suddenly there's just this humming sound and no one can figure out where it's coming from, and you smile devilishly to yourself and continue to hum away. Hee. Again.

Even curling up in a duvet for hours afterwards does little to warm the bones.

I know! Arrrgh. My toes are still sort of freezing, but that could be because my room is also incredibly cold for some reason that we haven't been able to figure out yet. Six blankets on my bed still doesn't seem to make waking up to a freezing cold room any easier. :p

And heh. ToolBoy was in top form tonight. Such. A. Tool. Which is sad, because he's really pretty. :p

I stay for the last credit at the movie too. I don't like when I go to movies with a new group of people and they all get up as soon as the credits start rolling, I feel uncomfortable cause I want to stay, but I leave anyway. When I'm with my usual friends we like to read all the differnt jobs and say which one we want to be. dorky yes, but fun.

Yes! Totally! I hate going with new people who just want to leave, and I want to stay but I don't want to irritate all of them! I feel *weird* leaving before I've seen the end of the credits. And what if we miss a cool scene at the end or something? I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)

I haven't had pepperoni pizza in a LOOONG time, but I used to always pick off the pepperonis first and eat them. Hee. Yummy!

... Chocolate is BRILLIANT. It's my addiction. I start to get the shakes if I go too long without it...

Actually, it is probably much better for you that you're not a choco-addict like me.

I hope they fix the heat in your office soon! Coldness sucks.

Mmmm, I had pepperoni pizza on Sunday. ;)

I have addictions like that, but it's mostly a caffeine thing for me. :p I get headaches and really cranky if I don't get at least a little caffeine every day. :p

And the heat's totally working today! I almost cried this morning, I was so happy to walk into a heated office and be able to take my coat off.

Pepperoni pizza is also my favorite thing in the world. *loves*

I could go for a midnight snack of pepperoni pizza right now, though.

I had a cousin who hated chocolate until she was about 15. We never let her forget it. hehe. So I realize how sick you must be of hearing it!

I could always go for pepperoni pizza. *loves*

In recent years I've discovered I can tolerate more than I used to be able to. I'll eat chocolate if it's with something else, like Reese's Pieces or chocolate covered cherries, but I still don't like it just by itself. I wonder if my taste buds are changing though, I've heard that they do that every few years or something. Which I could be making up, I don't know. :p
