when you wanna be something the world can't define
Important things to note today:
1. FRIDAY! PAYDAY! WOOOOOO!
2. Andrew Jackson had a big block of cheese, and thank you Leo McGarry for helping me to mildly kick ass at Trivial Pursuit last night. (We so would have won if *someone* hadn't gotten all tired and stuff. Pshaw. I really miss late night games of Trivial Pursuit from 1981). In honor, I watched 'The Crackpots and these Women' from S1 TWW when I got home, and I gotta say, that one would probably be pretty high up on my list of favorite episodes if it weren't for that whole "Gee golly gosh! Look at these here liberated womens!" thing at the end. :p
3. Apparently, according to Hillary Duff anyway, I grew up in the ghetto. I didn't think I could hate anyone related to that whole group of people more than the one twin who called us all white trash, but it seems that I can. Is she really that stupid?
4. I'm volunteering with Ashley at a local music festival tomorrow. Music, free food, sunshine, and (hopefully) cool people. Should be a good time.
5. I'm working tonight, and Sunday. Which kinda sucks, but whatever. I'm resigned to the fact that my manager hates me. It shouldn't last too much longer, anyway. Also, I just remembered, I have no idea what the store's hours are on July 4. I didn't request off, I hope I don't have to work. Eeeep!
6. I know I had something else to say this morning. Consider this a placeholder.

So you have dabbled in some Trivial Pursuit? You and I really need to face off with my TP one day. Let alone...face off in Scrabble.

We really do need to have a board game night, soon. I will so kick your ass. ;)

I think my mom put like all our board games up in Newport (I know that is where our Scrabble & Scattegories reside), but I'll see if she has any lurking still at their house.

I have no idea where they lived. I just know that there are plenty of places in Waldorf that send you to La Plata HS. But it is quite possible that they lived in La Plata, it's only about four miles wide or something. :p

It was already after they had moved to Annapolis, and Trish's (I think you might have met her once, she works at Riordans) boyfriend was managing Acme, so him and Bengy had to go get crap from the twins house in Waldorf from their mom for a show at Acme that was going on, and Trish and I being the oh so helpful girlfriends were forced into going along for the ride. It kind of reminded me of Carroll County, out where they lived.

We could always see if Ashley can find her copy of Claytionary. ;)

"Claytionary": You make something out of clay, people guess what it is
Not the real name, I don't think. But that's what we call it.

Sigh. When I take over the world, "rockers" are only allowed to come from big scary steel towns. Manchester, England comes to mind.

It's probably not that much of a stretch to say yes. Next time I drive to Maryland I'll board up my windows and sing "It's A Hard Knock Life" just for her. :P

I KNOW. I love that episode, but I feel embarrassed to say I love all of it when that means being okay with the ending, which is ooky and off-putting. I hope Sorkin was just trying to express the views of the older generation. But even that is creepy.

I get embarrassed just watching it sometimes, you know? And I know that it was still early in the series and all, but it just feels so out of character. Especially Josh's whole "I want to be with my friends...and these women!" It's just hard to imagine Jed and Leo and Josh actually standing around and talking about that. :p I guess sometimes Sorkin's writing just goes to a weird place that I don't really understand.

Haaaaa. I can't even read that without wincing.

Sometimes I just stare at the screen and wonder if this can really be the same guy who created CJ. I love the show to death, but WTF.

Really, the only connection is that it happened in Waldorf.
Overloaded car.

idontlikeyouinthatway....
It's in statements like these that really illustrate the age difference between them and the sheer naivete that girl has. Her mom sounds like a prize, too.
