you belong among the wildflowers
Dec. 30th, 2004 01:21 amEvery muscle in my body is aching right now.
Tonight, I went skiing for the first time in my short life. It was lots and lots of fun, but OUCH. I'm so not looking foward to waking up in the morning.
Racheal and I went went with Steph from work and her boyfriend and friend from school to Ski Liberty. Steph and her boyfriend were pretty good, but the rest of us were not so much. I am proud to say, however, that by the end of the night I'd learned how to not fall while going downwards, and kinda sorta how to stop. ;) Also, how to get up quickly after falling, that one I've found is the most important. I stuck pretty much to the beginner slope, but by the end of the night Racheal had gone down the slightly more challenging and longer slopes a few times. The next time I go, assuming there is a next time, I'd like to be less afraid of the steeper trails and just go. This will be the plan, anyway.
Tomorrow my Megan is coming to stay until Saturdayish, and we will do fun things, including celebrating New Year's Eve like only we can. ;) I have to work tomorrow morning, though, which sucks big fat hairy monkey ball things, cause I know I won't be able to move, let alone lug boxes and books all over the store. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we won't get much of a shipment tomorrow and get out early like we did Tuesday (which I just realized was only yesterday. Yikes).
I'm kind of exhausted. I think I'm gonna go to sleeeeeep soon. Oh! And before I forget, I got an awesome Hawaii-themed package in the mail yesterday from
heatherosa. It was fairly awesome, so thanks a lot, you. :)
So yes. Sleep. Work. Megan. New Year's. In that order, hopefully. ;)
