I like the way you phrased that, that Dick's behavior is very mindless. He's just sort of exploiting the power that comes with being rich, white, and male without really meaning to. As opposed to Lamb who's actually very calculating in exploiting his position of power. Plus, I guess with Lamb it's an actual, recognized position of power, not just a societal one. I don't know, I'm sort of talking this out for myself.

I get where you're coming from with that, I do, but every time I think I should just get over it and enjoy the dramatic consequences, it makes me angry again. I think it's one of those fool me once situations, you know? I'm afraid to get invested again because what if they leave me hanging again?
